About R.Story

Meet Our Teachers

Heddy McIntyre

Mrs. McIntyre started the school back in 2007. At the time, she had finished raising her children and wanted to return to doing what she loved the most: teaching English! She began by tutoring at a 'classroom' in her house (the garage), and gradually the number of her students grew, until a more serious class setting was needed. Fast forward to 2023, and R.Story is teaching over 60 students!

Sean Morrisey

The first to join R.Story after Heddy decided that she needed some more help to handle the class load. Sean is originally from Belfast, but says that he prefers the American weather. Sean is an expert at accents, and regional differences in languages, and was the first to pioneer our Distance Learning services.

Link Knight

Like Heddy, Link is a native. His path took him around the world teaching in Europe and Asia, before he returned home to his roots. Link specializes in child and teenaged students, prefering a face-to-face approach. He is a firm believer in that games are the best way to learn a language!

Tasha Sefcik

Hailing from Ukraine, Tasha is our newest recruit. She is also proud to have been certified grade 'A' on her CELTA certification, the coveted highest grade that only the top 2% receive. She is always thinking of new challenges for our Correspondence courses, and if you read a fun fact in our Daily Words section, it's probably from Tasha!

Certified At CELTA

One of the requirements of teaching at R.Story is CELTA certification. CELTA is a special program of intensive teacher training administered by Cambridge University.* Unlike an ordinary teaching certification, CELTA curiculum is intensively and specifically focused on teaching English as a second language, making it the world-wide standard for foreign-language educators.

Telling R.Story

What's the origin of R.Story? It's simple. It's the story that brings us together. When we can speak the same language and understand each other, then we can share the same story together: Our Story.
